Ported to g++ 3.0. It ended up not being as bad as I initially thought -
I guess I need to get a reference on the C++ standard as not understanding
what's standard was the biggest problem.

I switch configure to generate the file "tyvis-config.h" instead of adding
all of the cpp macros on the command line. I would call the old method
deprecated at this point.

Lastly, I added "SourceBaseHashMap.h" which contains some ugliness to
handle variations in where "hash_map" (which is NOT standard) lives.
