Well, yes and no. The code generator historically has not support as much
as the front end, and what is unsupported isn't well documented. (I would
have said "generate if" statements are supported in general.) Anyways,
we're addressing this in several ways:
1) We're in the process of building an improved regression testing system.
This will be GPLed and available via anonymous CVS for anyone who is
interested. It's based on the Billowitch compliance tests and the examples
from "The Designer's Guide to VHDL" by Peter Ashenden. We'll probably also
add FMF models and other interesting VHDL test cases to it.
2) The introduction of the bug tracking system so that we can document
where the problems lie. The bug reporting system also has a voting
mechanism so that people can vote on the bug they'd like fixed the most.
This is why I've asked you to file a bug report.

OK. A lot has changed since that version, although I can't say if this
particular problem has been addressed.
